Cookie policy

This policy explains the cookies used on the Propicio Hotel & Resort (“Propicio”, “we”, “us”) website and the choice you have over them. Read it together with our privacy policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser, so it can remember something between visits or between pages.

The cookie we set

We set one cookie of our own, and only to remember your answer to the cookie banner:

• cookie_consent: records whether you accepted or declined cookies, so we do not ask on every page. It holds only the word “accepted” or “declined”, is never sent to anyone else, and expires after 180 days, when we ask again. Because it only records your choice, it is strictly necessary and is set whichever way you answer.

We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies, and booking a stay, writing to us or joining our newsletter sets no cookies.

Cookies from Google Maps

The maps on this website are embedded from Google Maps. A map loads only after you accept cookies. Once it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, which Google uses under its own policies to run the map, remember preferences and protect against misuse. Google decides which cookies these are and how long they last; see how Google uses cookies.

If you decline, the maps stay hidden and nothing is loaded from Google. You can still use every part of this website, including booking. The “Get directions” link opens Google Maps on Google’s own site, where Google’s own cookie choices apply.

Changing your choice

You can change your choice at any time with the button below. If you decline after accepting, the maps stop loading straight away, but cookies Google has already set stay in your browser until they expire or you delete them. Your browser’s settings let you see and delete cookies, and block them altogether.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example if we add a service that sets cookies. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will ask for your choice again if a change needs your consent.
